CVE-2013-4810: HP Multiple Products Remote Code Execution Vulnerability
CVE-2013-4810 is rated critical with a CVSS v3.1 base score of 9.8 and affects Hewlett Packard (HP) ProCurve Manager (PCM), PCM+, Identity Driven Manager (IDM), and Application Lifecycle Management. Per its scoring, it can be exploited over the network, without authentication, without any user interaction. The scored impact on confidentiality, integrity and availability is the highest available. CISA added it to its Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog on 2022-03-25, which means exploitation in the wild has been observed.
Vulnerability description
HP ProCurve Manager (PCM) 3.20 and 4.0, PCM+ 3.20 and 4.0, Identity Driven Manager (IDM) 4.0, and Application Lifecycle Management allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a marshalled object to (1) EJBInvokerServlet or (2) JMXInvokerServlet, aka ZDI-CAN-1760. NOTE: this is probably a duplicate of CVE-2007-1036, CVE-2010-0738, and/or CVE-2012-0874.

- Integrity impact: High. Total loss of integrity; data or system state can be fully modified.
- Availability impact: High. Total loss of availability; the component can be shut down.
Underlying weakness
CWE-94: Improper Control of Generation of Code
The product constructs all or part of a code segment using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the syntax or behavior of the intended code segment.
Affected products
- HP Application Lifecycle Management: all versions listed by NVD
- HP Procurve Manager: 3.20; 4.0
